Wise: Succeeding despite disadvantages

You can still succeed in life even if you start late and have no special skills or talents.

You can also succeed if you think you’re not like the rest or if you never knew what you wanted from life. I’ve been in that situation, too, for almost my entire life.

But from around the age of 30, I slowly started on a new path that led me to success according to my own definition.

To me, you succeed when you’re content with your life and work. And that there’s no resentment or anger in how you spend your days.

In my latest article, I share 4 steps I took to succeed according to that definition.

Give it a read if you feel like you’re not fulfilling your potential.

Wealthy: Wealth vs Money

Warren Buffett once said, “Risk comes from not knowing what you’re doing.”

This is the weakness that charlatans exploit in the ones who don’t know what they are doing.

In recent years, I’ve received an increasing number of emails from readers who say they fell for certain money schemes.

The antidote to getting scammed? Financial literacy. These are some lies charlatans say:

  1. “The stock market will crash!” No one can predict the market.
  2. “Here’s how to get guaranteed returns.” If someone offers you an upfront return, run.
  3. “Inflation will kill you!” Inflation is actually normal.

In the financial world, information is your best defense against manipulation and fear-mongering.

Charlatans don’t like people who have knowledge about investing. They prefer to prey on the ones who don’t.

One interesting thing

When you use AI to write anything for you, tell it what to avoid:

  • Metaphors
  • Complex words
  • Trying too hard
  • Going over the top

Simple and plain language is still the best in my opinion.
