Wise: Regret

One of my college professors used to be a physician. But in his 50s, he decided to pursue another lifelong goal he had.

He pursued a Ph.D. and started his academic career. That really inspired me. Somehow his story was also comforting.

It’s never too late to make a change. Life is long and we can always decide to do things differently. That realization made me less anxious about life decisions.

But it also motivated me to pursue what I want. To stay active. And to keep moving forward.

If your goal is to stay active and make the most of your time on this planet, procrastination is your enemy. So you do what it takes not to procrastinate.

Because you know there’s a high price we have to pay when we procrastinate for too long. And that’s living with regret.

Wealthy: Not competing

If you think you always have to compete for better jobs or more market share, you’ll love this.

There’s another way. Instead of always competing for the same things that others want, adopt a different mindset.

Create NEW things.

What if you can’t find your dream job? Create it! What if you can’t find the product you’re looking for? Create it!

Stop competing with others. It puts you in a fearful and anxious mindset.

We live in an abundant world. The things you see around right now didn’t exist at some point. Someone created them.

Why can’t you do the same?

↳ Don’t Compete. Create!

One interesting thing

Marcus Aurelius wrote this in Meditations:

“Don’t let your imagination be crushed by life as a whole… Stick with the situation at hand, and ask, “Why is this so unbearable? Why can’t I endure it?”

Remember you already have the mental fortitude inside you to deal with the challenges of life.
