Wise & Wealthy: The importance of poise

This edition is a bit unusual because I have a single article for both Wise and Wealthy.

It’s about the importance of developing one’s poise. And I’d love to get your feedback on this topic.

To me, poise means you have style and substance. In the world of personal development books, they often focus on one or the other.

Some books talk about improving your skills, habits, focus, and so forth.

And other books talk about how you can become a better speaker, communicator, marketer, and persuader.

I believe we need both aspects to succeed in the world. In my new article, I talk about how you can combine style and substance to develop poise.

Having poise comes from confidence, accomplishment, and an awareness of how one presents themselves to the world.

And I show how you will have better odds of having a successful career when you have poise.

What are your thoughts on this? Would you like to hear more on this topic?

Please read the article and let me know what you think.

One interesting thing

I’ve been listening to the Insight Hour podcast by Joseph Goldstein. He’s one of my favorite Mindfulness thinkers and teachers.

In a recent episode called “Nature of Mind,” he talks about the concept of innate wakefulness, which he describes as:

“A mind that is not clinging to anything at all.”

As you go through your day, remember this. Avoid clinging to anything. Let go.

Thanks for reading! I hope you found this edition of Wise & Wealthy useful.

All the best,
